I received the Kindle as a gift and it is so convenient! I thought I wouldn't be used to reading off the device as I am so used to reading paper books but the ink print makes reading comfortable on the eyes. I didn't have any issues for reading on it for hours on end. Battery life is amazing and ebooks are good value! I save money and can read even more with the Kindle!Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.

The Unit is amazing! Battery life at least a week depending on use. I love getting my paper delivered right to the unit and reading any book I have. I like also that when I upgraded to a new unit Amazon saves all my purchased for re-download! I do not have to back them up, just other purchases that I make from other sites. The display does not make your eyes tired which is great.Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.

I love my Kindle and enjoy it fully. The "BUT" is in the availability and price of new books. Authors and publishers might want to wake up. $9.99 seems fair for any book that does not have to be published or distributed in bound copies. Plus few Kindle readers are going to lend out their device for others to read a book. Now with bound copies the fact is that most books are passed around from person to person which avoids profit for the publishers and royalties for the writers. If I have to wait for new releases I am going to go to the library or buy a deeply discounted copy. I would most likely buy 10 times more electronic books if the price was $9.99 and I could get new books as they are released. If anyone remembers $9.99 is the price for most books in the beginning. Remember we, the Kindle readers, paid close to $500.00 for this device to start with. Honest profit is good. Greed is short sighted.

I'm delighted with this Kindle, but here are some practical problems for users outside the US:
-The power adaptor is American. It accepts 220 volts, but you need a converter.
-Operating system, manual and dictionary is English only, if you have problems with that, wait till they prepare a multi- lingual version
-Text-to-speech, which reads the text aloud to you, is American English only.
-Newspaper subscriptions deliver text-only version to international users. I can do without colours, but miss the photos and graphics.
-Google and Internet does not work outside the US. You do, however, get access to Wikipedia, English version.
With these minor adjustments this is a magnificent global reading device. Whispernet delivers your newspaper wherever you are (as long as you are within mobile telephone coverage)Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.

The Kindle does not fit well into the cover and as a result the cover has slit the case on the Kindle thus making if look ugly and damaged. It is because i had to struggle to get the Kindle to fit the lugs on the cover.

A brilliant product that delivers and i am reaading and understanding more everyday of wht it can do for me. Amazing how it opens so many doors in relation the books from the classics to whatever you fancy with out having to traverse a bookshop and be disappointed because the books are not in stock. Thank you.Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.

This device is keeping me sane on my train trips to and from work. I love the flexibility of buying books on the go. The only fault I have is that not all the books I want are available on it either by not being in the format or due to copyright restrictions. That's not a fault of the product though.Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.
