Kindle is "the magic tablet." I had no idea how cool getting "INSTANT" books would be. I love the simplicity of the technology. Words I would have read over or used context to determine meaning are defined as I read along. No more guessing about an author's meaning.
This is NOT reading at a computer. I HATE that. This is a book sized, hand held, read in bed, read at the doctors office size tablet that is wireless.
Love the "sample" a book feature. Several best sellers were books I could see I did not like in the first few pages. I did not have to buy them after sampling. Easy to delete. I Accidentally hit "purchase" on books I was just going to sample; there is the "accidentally BUY" feature? Hit delete and error undone at no cost.
I Love reading several books at one time. Kindle opens all to exactly where I left off. I still have the ability to go back to previous pages easily. So much great stuff.
Somebody mentioned, on television, how funny a book was and I was reading it 2 minutes later laughing along with the interviewer. Imagine your boss saying, "Have you read The Tipping Point-the part discussing the Rule of 150?" A few minutes later, after you have downloaded The Tipping Point in seconds, you can have an intellegent conversation with him/her about it.
Love being able to KEEP books I love (up to 3,600 of them) with me all the time OR deleting stinkers.
Love many classics I have never read are FREE like many Jane Austin books I have meant to read and just haven't. Now Jane Austin is in my Kindle to be read at my leisure.
I miss not having pictures of the authors or pictures in the books in the selections I have chosen so far.
My husband and I now BOTH have Kindles.Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.
