I love: Big screen, sharp resolution, easy access to the Amazon store, auto-rotation of the screen, ability to leave side-notes, bookmarks, the easy access dictionary, word search, text-to-speech
Could have been better: Handling of PDFs - no content menu in PDFs, cannot leave side-notes in PDF documents, big PDF documents are slow in responding to page turns, no support for EPub format; the library for magazines, technical books and newspapers is limited and needs to expand.
Conclusion: The Amazon Kindle DX is one of the very few readers with a 9 inch display which comes with all the features that makes a great e-reader. Its light-weight and thin design makes it very easy to carry it around and has the potential to replace the dog as the man's (or woman's) best friend ! It is such a comforting thought that you can carry all your favorite books and magazines in those few hundred grams. Anywhere you go, the Kindle is bound to give you good company.
However, there are areas of improvement. Not all documents are in Amazon's proprietary format, support for formats like ePub and getting around the issues with large PDF documents will make this the ultimate e-reader that one can desire for.
