The Kindle is a great piece of hardware- for people who love the printed word, and love to read, this is manna... BUT, for those it is aimed at - people like me who have thousands of PDF documents on their computers and are looking for a device that can carry them on the go - this device has a major drawback. There is no way to organize the content in a coherent manner. This means I cannot make folders to hold my scientific reprints and those that will hold my fiction novels. There is no way I can create a system to organize my information. To illustrate better, amazon has built a splendid library that lets you read in a fantastic environment and choose from thousands of titles. But this library has no organization- no reference system - no different racks for different titles..everything in this library is arranged by alphabetic order. The Kindle is an excellent example of how technology cannot compensate for a lack of common sense, I wonder who thought of marrying such a great electronic device with such a pathetic user interface - someone who has never read or collected too many books or articles I am sure. My advice, refrain from spending 500 bucks on this unless you intend to delete and replace your content every once in a while. For those of us who have already bought this, the Kindle reminds us that technology in the hands of the dim witted will result in a terrible waste of potential function - such is the world of big brand corporate products these days it seems....Get more detail about Kindle DX Wireless Reading Device, Free 3G, 9.7" Display, Graphite, 3G Works Globally – Latest Generation.
