I love my books and have hundreds so my taking the plunge and buying a Kindle was a big thing. I bought it primarily for when I go away, saves packing heavy books. I was still dubious when I placed the order and then it arrived two days later well.........I can't get enough of it! Unfortunately my first Kindle was defective, which I only discovered after about four days.......it would not charge up. I can't fault Amazon though, I spoke to custoemr services and after elimating various things he said that he would replace it. Luckily it arrived before the charge had gone so I was still able ti use the original one! I love the fact that that you can download samples of books, and they are fairly hefty samples (about a chapter and half) so you can try authors that you would not normally read. It is very easy to operate and it, almost, feels as though you are reading a book. I don't want, or need, pdf files so cannot comment on that. I can see that it will get unwieldy once you have more than a dozen books on there. I love to re-read books so it might be difficult to find! A small rice to pay for, in my opinion, a wonderful thing.
