I have owned a Kindle ver. 1, and now I own a ver. 2. I decided to take the plunge and go for a Kindle DX based on the fact that a bigger reading surface would be better for newspapers and magazines, and I an very happy with my decission.
I am one of the book readers that normally preferred to purchase hardcovers, not only because they were normally available months (or years) before the paperback came out, but because I liked the bigger type and page and the feeling overall of a bigger book. I was missing this with the regular Kindle, although I was quite happy with its practicality. I purchased the DX thinking mainly of a better experience with newspapers and magazines, which it actually provides, but I never thought that the feel of a hardcover would be its greatest reward.
